Are parents allowed in rehearsals or at dress rehearsal?
No, our rehearsals are closed to families so we can have all dancers out in a timely manner and so they can concentrate on their time onstage.  If you are chaperoning then you will be allowed in for dress rehearsal as a helper to our studio.

What does a chaperone do?
Sit with your assigned class to be sure they are respectful audience members during our shows, change shoes when needed and help with bathroom breaks (shoes/bathroom are for 7 and younger).  We expect our dancers to be polite and respectful viewers of our shows.

How long is show?
Our Saturday Senior Showcase is a little over 2 hours long and our Sunday Grand Recital is around 3.5 hours. 

Can I take my dancer home after their routines are done?
If you choose to, yes.  Please let Miss Ally know prior to the show that you will be picking them up so she can let a chaperone know.  All of our 3/4 year olds will be dismissed after Act One to parents because it is hard to sit that long at such a young age.  

Obviously all our dancers are welcome and wanted for final bows, but it's a long weekend... we totally understand that :)

Will facemasks be required at shows?
Dancers will not be required to wear their masks for rehearsal week OR at show.  

We do ask that audience members who are not fully vaccinated wear their masks as viewers, but we have set up a socially distanced seating chart out of safety.  

Will there be concessions for both recitals?
Oh heck yes!  We fully support helping the Crystal Grand as a locally owned and managed business within our community and encourage concession sales.  We do not want dancers to have concessions - they may have healthy snacks sent with them or water to drink (no soda or dark energy drinks please).
